SUMMARY

I do not write with the pretension of knowing everything, nor to stigmatize a community, nor even to shock certain individuals, but out of an obligation to call for a return to the roots of all human beings, primarily Afro-Americans and Afro-descendants, to the need to identify and practice traditional rituals, like those originally attributable to the lineage of their direct ancestors. I do this out of obligation, because we are all connected, which is why we speak of a single African spirituality, but of several African traditions. The symbolism of a tree with multiple roots. My writing is the fruit of a synergy between deep personal meditation and revelatory dreams, the study of several African traditions, and the inspiration of some of our predecessors, both living and dead.
